Foundational Studies Print

These two modules equip the student with some of the academic skills that will be needed in all of the subsequent modules. Critical Thinking helps to develop the student's sensitivity to logic and logical arguments, both good and bad. Fundamentals of Theological Study equips the student with essential skills of reading, introduces a range of Christian literature, and develops the skill of writing attractively and persuasively.

Biblical Languages Print

Our Biblical Languages modules introduce the student to Biblical Hebrew and Greek. The modules begin with basic grammar and move on to reading skills and the use of the languages in exegesis.

Biblical Studies Print

Since we acknowledge the Bible as our final rule in all matters of faith and practice, Biblial Studies is at the heart of our curriculum. The first year Old and New Testament Survey provides a survey of the whole Bible, emphasizing the deductive method of Bible study and the content of both Old and New Testaments. There is also a first year module which focuses on principles of interpretation. Subsequent years move on to in-depth exegesis of the Biblical text. The practical use of the Bible in devotion and ministry is emphasized throughout.

Systematic and Historical Theology Print

Our systematic theology modules help the student to gain a comprehensive view of God's eternal truth as it is revealed in the whole Bible. Students also learn how to draw together the teaching from various parts of Scripture in order to form a unified understanding of different doctrines and issues. The church history modules help the student to gain an understanding of how God has been establishing the church through its 2000 year history.

Practical Theology Print

Our pastoral theology modules begin by addressing the issues of the Biblical call (to ministry or to another sphere of service) and of personal spiritual growth. They move on to homiletics, Biblical counselling, church leadership and church planting. We also offer a series of modules which address the Christian's redemptive involvement in society at large.
